Earlier in 2024, I was a part of a brilliant event called the Unconstrained Symposium. It was an absolutely stellar line up, so I didn’t want to be just another name in the speaker list.
Trying to be different in the traditional setting of a conference is an interesting battle to pick, and in all honestly, I didn’t really have a plan for what a “practical” session could look like until about a week before attending. I just knew I didn’t want to stand at the front of a lecture hall, because the things I think about, with and through don’t happen there.
We recorded the practical session, where I went back to my roots and played facilitator for an hour! The ‘coach voice’ came out, and we stumbled through how choice within activity design can cater for vastly different skill levels.
